MARC HOLLENBERG PHOTOGRAPHY

Born in 1979 in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, Marc Hollenberg developed an early fascination with art and visual storytelling. Growing up in the countryside of North Holland and inspired by his father, a painting artist, he discovered a passion for creating images from a young age.
After working for many years as a carpenter, Marc gradually returned to his artistic roots. Traveling through diverse landscapes on his daily journeys inspired him to begin photographing the natural world, with a particular focus on sunrises, sunsets, and the changing atmosphere of the Dutch countryside.
What began as a personal passion evolved into a professional photographic career. Over the years, Marc has exhibited his work extensively, completed commissioned assignments, and expanded into corporate photography. Between 2009 and 2016, he focused strongly on documenting polder landscapes and urban nightscapes throughout Noord-Holland.
Today, Marc is based in Sweden, where the dramatic Scandinavian environment continues to influence his artistic vision. His recent work explores astrophotography, northern lights photography, and cinematic timelapse filmmaking, capturing the unique beauty and atmosphere of the Nordic landscape.
Through his photography, Marc aims to share moments of tranquility, light, and wonder found in nature and the urban environment alike. His work reflects both technical dedication and a deep emotional connection to the places he photographs.

From May 30 to September 1, 2026, an extraordinary exhibition by MARC HOLLENBERG PHOTOGRAPHY will be presented at Svanhuset Gallery, showcasing photographs from the Tjust archipelago.
